Cookies
Like almost all web sites, we use cookies to save fragments of data so that you don't have to re-enter it every time. Only on our blog site do we store this data after your browser closes that contains a key to your blog preferences and blog posting name. You can always delete this data using your Browser's cookie delete function and the website will continue to function or block them permanently. All the cookie data is enecrypted to ensure it can only be read by the bizmodeller web server.
Order and Customer Information
All your order information is entered on PayPal's secure web site. bizmodeller receives a summary of your order information including your name, email address and shipping address - this is very similar to the information received by a seller on eBay. We do not receive and do not have access to phone numbers or any other billing information, eg credit card details or bank details. All this data is protected by PayPal's privacy policy which is available from their web-site.
iHomeServer for iTunes
iHomeServer has an option to check for product updates. In order to better understand our customer usage, iHomeServer will send some anonymous data to bizmodeller servers at the time of the update check. This data includes only the following information - a non-identifiable unique id for your installation, the first four digits of the installed product license number, product installation date, product registration date, iHomeServer, iTunes and Windows version numbers. This data allows us to better understand usage, however, is not tied to your any information that can uniquely identify you. If you would prefer not to send this data, then please turn off Automatic Updates in the iHomeServer Settings box.
When you register iHomeServer, your license key and a unique installation ID for your iHomeServer installation is sent to bizmodeller server's in order to verify and then activate your license. An license file is securely returned to your computer containing your license details.
iHomeServer, if you use Metadata or AutoTagging features, sends metadata requests to third party metadata providers. For example, this will include your search query text but may also include file names and/or components of the file path of media that are being tagged if you are using the AutoTag function. However, it transmits no personally identifiable information to bizmodeller or any third party.
rtRemote for iTunes
rtRemote uses Microsoft's Advertising SDK for displaying adverts unless you have purchased the 'Remove Adverts' in-app upgrade. The privacy policy of the Ads SDK is covered by Microsoft's universal online privacy policy, which can be found at http://privacy.microsoft.com/en-us/default.mspx. Related to advertising, this document states that personal information may be collected and used by Microsoft for advertising purposes. For more information about Microsoft's use of personal information for advertising, and to opt-out of advertising from Microsoft, see the Personal Information section of the online Privacy policy.
Beyond its use of the Microsoft Ads SDK for displaying ads to trial-mode users, rtRemote transmits no personal information to bizmodeller or any third party.
